The closest title race is in the Premier League, where it’s likely to go down to the wire between Arsenal and Manchester City. We have seen all sorts of special goals scored throughout the campaign, but which top five league teams have been the most prolific? Here at Transfermarkt, we have calculated the top 20 teams to have scored the most goals in all competitions this season. There may be some surprises.
Which top 5 league teams have scored most goals this season?
Leading the way are the beaten Champions League semi-finalists Bayern Munich. The Germans have scored a mind-boggling 175 goals in 52 games this season – largely supported by their prolific front three of Harry Kane, Michael Olise and Luis Díaz. They are far ahead of any other side, although the standard and openness of the Bundesliga could be pointed at as a contributing factor to this. In second are Barcelona, who have scored 138 goals in 53 matches this term. PSG then take third with 123 goals scored in 52 games.

Man City are fourth with 120 goals in 55 matches, followed closely by Arsenal, who have scored 116 goals in 59 games. Real Madrid will be trophy-less again this season, but have scored 112 goals in 52 games and take sixth, whilst Inter Milan are seventh with 110 goals. Atlético Madrid are eighth with 109 goals scored, with Chelsea (105 goals) and Stuttgart (100 goals) completing the top 10. The full top 20 teams can be scrolled through in the gallery further above.
