The “European Golden Boy Top 100 powered by Transfermarkt ” list has been updated, and the Premier League is continuing to dominate. Currently, 23 players from the English top-flight are in the running for the award, which has been presented by the Italian sports newspaper “Tuttosport” since 2003. Barcelona and Spain superstar Lamine Yamal is currently ranked first, with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Warren Zaïre-Emery second and Barca’s Pau Cubarsí third.
There are then 19 Bundesliga players, 13 Ligue 1 players, nine LaLiga talents, and seven Serie A youngsters, while the top leagues from Ukraine, Switzerland, Poland, Sweden, and Greece each contribute one player. French youngsters are the most represented in the updated top 100: the French nation appears 13 times, relegating England and Germany (nine talents each) as well as the Netherlands and Spain (seven talents each) to the lower ranks. All English, German, and Spanish nominees play in their respective national leagues.

The big change for this year's Golden Boy award is the collaboration with Transfermarkt as the main partner. A scoring system developed by Transfermarkt will determine who makes it onto the list of the 100 greatest talents at European clubs. The top currently highest ranked players are listed in the graphic above.
Golden Boy 2026: Estêvão leads way for Premier League stars
Chelsea's €80m-valued Brazilian youngster Estêvão is the highest ranked star from the Premier League – in sixth position. He is followed by Bournemouth winger Rayan (10th), Tottenham defender Luka Vuskovic (11th), who should soon join Brighton, Bournemouth’s Junior Kroupi (12th), Chelsea’s Jorrel Hato (13th), and Manchester City’s Vitor Reis (14th). Myles Lewis-Skelly (18th), Bazoumana Touré (27th), Jaydee Canvot (28th) and Ayden Heaven (29th) also make the top 30.

Here's how it works: Path to becoming the next Golden Boy
On May 20, we launched the "European Golden Boy Top 100 " – this list is regularly updated. This means that players who are currently missing can still earn a spot later in the year. All talents born in 2006 or later, who play in one of the 25 strongest European top-flight leagues, are considered. In October, the list will be narrowed down to the top 20, from which an international panel of experts will select the 2026 Golden Boy.
