Things are not going well for Real Madrid, with the club being surrounded by negative coverage in the media in recent days.

Not only are the Merengues set to end the season without a single trophy, it appears that the dressing room is close to imploding, with reports of issues from the locker room are surfacing one after another.

The likes of Dani Carvajal, Dani Ceballos, Raul Asencio, and Alvaro Carreras have had problems with manager Alvaro Arbeloa.

Meanwhile, as reported a while back, Kylian Mbappe was also involved in a major flare-up with one of the staff members.

Antonio Rudiger involved in a bust-up

Now, according to The Athletic, Real Madrid veteran defender Antonio Rudiger, too, was involved in a major training ground bust-up with a first-team member in April.

As per the report, the entire episode was instigated by the German defender leading to a heated altercation at Valdebebas last month.

However, it is also claimed that the 33-year-old mainstay later apologised for his actions and even invited his teammates and their families to lunch to smooth things over inside the locker room.

Meanwhile, an alternate report from Onda Cero claims that the other player involved in this heated altercation with Rudiger was Alvaro Carreras.

As per the update, the 33-year-old veteran slapped the Spanish left-back in the dressing room, with the incident said to have occurred sometime between Real Madrid’s matches against Alaves and Real Betis.

The 2025 summer signing has recently dropped out of Arbeloa’s plans, with Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia overtaking him in the pecking order at left-back.

The situation is far from ideal for Real Madrid and with still a few weeks left before the season ends, the club will hope that there are no more issues and that things settle down.
