Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson won’t leave Liverpool in the summer transfer window, reports Fabrizio Romano.
Liverpool block Alisson’s Juventus transfer
Alisson’s contract was automatically extended by one more season until 2027, yet the goalkeeper held talks with Juventus and his former Roma coach Luciano Spalletti over a possible move to the Allianz Stadium.
Alisson initially seemed on his way out of Liverpool, but over the last few days, several sources in Italy have suggested that the Reds have become increasingly hesitant about letting their goalkeeper leave.
According to Romano, the Premier League giants have now made afinal decision over Alisson’s future, deciding that he’ll stay at Anfield for one more season.
Romano reports that Liverpool have made formal contact with the goalkeeper’s camp, confirming that the club will continue to rely on him.
Romano confirms that Giorgi Mamardashvili could leave Liverpool on loan instead, with previous suggestions that the Georgian international had been offered to some Serie A clubs, including Juventus and Inter.
Other sources in Italy, including Tuttosport, indicate that Fiorentina’s David De Gea is a possible alternative to Alisson for Juventus, as the Bianconeri prepare to replace Michele Di Gregorio in 2026-27.
