The league leading Nerazzurri have a nine-point lead at the top of the Serie A table heading into the final six matches of the 2025-26 season. A victory against Cagliari will take them 12 points clear of Antonio Conte’s Napoli and 15 clear of Massimiliano Allegri and Milan.

Both sides will have an Esposito in their squads this evening. Both boast remarkably similar goalscoring records in 2025-26 as well.

Inter’s Francesco Pio is arguably Italy’s biggest breakthrough star of the 2025-26 season with six goals and four assists to his name from 30 appearances in Serie A this season. He also has one in the Coppa Italia and another two in the Champions League for a total record of nine goals and six assists from 42 outings.

His older brother Sebastiano, on loan from Inter with an obligation to buy, also has six goals from 30 Serie A appearances and another in the Coppa Italia. His seasonal tally currently stands at seven goals and six assists from 33 outings. Taking Champions League football out of the equation, both brothers would have had the same tally of goals (7) and from the same number of appearances (33).
