€30m package – Galatasaray sign Lesley Ugochukwu from Burnley

Galatasaray have finalized their first new signing. The Süper Lig giants have signed Lesley Ugochukwu from relegated Premier League side Burnley on loan until the end of the season. Galatasaray have also secured an option to buy, which may become mandatory under certain conditions. It is understood that this will come into effect after his 20th appearance.

Galatasaray has also announced the transfer fee for Ugochukwu. The Champions League participants have put together a €30m package: an initial loan fee of around €3.55. Once the obligation to buy is triggered, Burnley will receive an additional €26.6m– only three signings have been more expensive in Galatasaray’s history. Ugochukwu will receive a net salary of €2.65m per season.
Burnley would therefore ultimately receive slightly more than the €28.7m Chelsea paid for Ugochukwu last summer. The French Under-21 international made 38 appearances as a regular for Burnley, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
