Former Arsenal academy winger Amario Cozier-Duberry is currently on the books with Brighton & Hove Albion, but he’s spent the 2025/26 campaign out on loan with Bolton Wanderers in League One.

The ex-Gunner has impressed in the English third tier, scoring nine goals and assisting a further 11 in 36 appearances for Bolton so far this season.

As a result, it’s no real surprise to see the player featuring in the League One Team of the Season for 2025/26, announced on Sunday.

Cozier-Duberry likely would have racked up even more goals and assists if not for a knee ligament injury in January, which ruled him out for more than two months. He’s returned in good form, with four goal contributions in his four games back with the team.

Bolton have already missed out on the automatic promotion places, with second-place Cardiff City 11 points clear of them with only two games left to make that up.

But Bolton sit third as it stands, and they’re almost mathematically guaranteed to be part of the promotion play-offs. Cozier-Duberry’s loan spell certainly isn’t over yet.

Whether Cozier-Duberry helps Bolton up to the Championship or not, Brighton will be pleased with how he’s done on an individual basis this season, particularly after his underwhelming previous loan to Blackburn Rovers.

The next challenge will be to figure out what they should do with him in 2026/27, and whether he has a future with Brighton or it’s time to move on.
