The January transfer window is now little more than a dot in the rearview mirror and as such European football has got back to the business of winning games and challenging for as much silverware and success as possible between now and the end of the season. Arsenal hold a genuine interest in signing Julián Alvarez this summer. There’s been substantial speculation that the Argentina international wants to leave the Atlético Madrid this summer and the Gunner could test the Spanish giants’ resolve.

Barcelona have ramped up their interest in Marco Palestra. The 21-year-old has been excellent on loan at Cagliari this season and will return to parent club Atalanta this summer. But the Italian international is expected to leave with Barcelona rivalling clubs from the Premier League.
