Partick Thistle full-back Addie Handley says it's a "massive deal" for the Jags to make the SWPL top six as it will encourage a better level to player to come to the club in future.
Having missed out on the top half last season, Thistle needed an injury-time winner from Sienna McGoldrick, who only arrived on loan at that day, against bottom side Hamilton to secure their place in the top six.
Their post-split campaign gets under way against league leaders Glasgow City on Sunday.
"I think it's a massive deal," Handley said of Thistle securing top six.
"We've said since the beginning of the season that was our objective, that was our goal.
"We wanted to take points off top teams. We've not quite managed that yet but hopefully within the split that'll give us the perfect opportunity to go so.
"Everyone wanted this, we achieved it and for the club it means a massive deal because it proves that we've got a massive future within the league.
"I think for next season we become a very attractive opportunity for lots of players. It's a massive deal and it just creates a real positive feeling around the club going into the rest of this split and then next season.
"That is a massive draw of Partick Thistle – that we can be the place for young players to prove themselves and kick on to the next level."
