Inter Milan star midfielder Nicolo Barella has hit a purple patch in the final stage of the 2025/26 Serie A season.
According to FCInterNews, the 29-year-old has rediscovered his form after an underwhelming start to the new calendar year.
Alongside Hakan Calhanoglu, Barella has been one of the cornerstones of Inter’s midfield in the last five years.
Indeed, the former Cagliari man has once again stepped up in the decisive phase of the campaign.
Despite blowing hot and cold earlier in the season, the diminutive midfielder has regained consistency at the best possible moment for Inter.
Inter Milan Star Midfielder Nicolo Barella Returns to His Best
Nicolo Barella scored his first Serie A goal since October in a 5-2 rout of Roma immediately after the March international break.
Furthermore, he set up Marcus Thuram for Inter’s opening goal in a come-from-behind 4-3 win at Como last weekend.
However, it’s also worth noting that the Italian ace registered a pair of assists for Francesco Pio Esposito against Atalanta and Fiorentina before the break.
In doing so, Barella has taken his assist tally for the season to eight. For context, his personal record came in 2021/22, when he racked up 12 assists.
