Goalkeeper Wyll Stanway says Barrow's players have to dig deep to prevent the Bluebirds from being relegated to the National League.
The 3-1 loss at home to Walsall left Barrow 23rd in League Two with two matches remaining.
They are above bottom club Harrogate Town on goal difference and only one point adrift of both Tranmere Rovers and Newport County, with Crawley Town just two points ahead.
It promises to be a nervous fortnight for all concerned with Barrow desperate to guarantee a seventh season at this level.
"We've got two massive games left and ultimately we have to save this football club from going into the National League," Stanway told BBC Radio Cumbria.
"We know the task we've got in hand and it's down to us to do it."
Barrow are away at promotion-chasing Cambridge United on Saturday before hosting Newport on the final day in what could be a relegation shoot-out.
Having performed a rescue act to get a much-needed victory over Oldham Athletic, they could not back that up against the Saddlers.
Having not managed successive wins since September, the Bluebirds may have to produce that now to survive.
"It's about making sure we give ourselves the best chance to go to Cambridge, who are flying in this league and get some sort of result," Stanway added.
"If we don't believe in ourselves, there's no hope at all. So we need to go there making sure we're the best version of ourselves and get the three points."
