The Rossoblu are seeking a new tactician because Vincenzo Italiano has already waved goodbye after two years in which he won the Coppa Italia and reached the Europa League knockout stages.
Meanwhile, Sportitalia claim that Tedesco has sorted out the final details of his departure from Fenerbahce, terminating the contract by mutual consent.
Tedesco set for first Serie A job
The 40-year-old is now ready to sign a two-year deal at Bologna, with an option for a third season.
Although he was born in Italy, Tedesco moved to Germany at a young age with his family and started his coaching career there at the Stuttgart and Hoffenheim youth academies.
His first senior job was at Erzgebirge Aue in 2017, moving on through Schalke 04, Spartak Moscow, RB Leipzig and from 2023-25 he was the national team coach of Belgium.
Tedesco was appointed to Fenerbahce last summer, but that experience is already over after finishing runners-up to rivals Galatasaray, despite overseeing 26 wins, 12 draws and seven defeats overall.
