The 19-year-old is considered one of the most promising young talents in Brazilian football and is eager to join the Rossoneri.
He hopes to help the move go through by giving up his 30 per cent stake in the deal, but even then, President Osmar Stabile blocked the transfer when a €17m move had been seemingly agreed.
André a firm target for Milan
That was a few weeks ago, and according to ESPN Brasil, Milan came back with a new and improved bid now worth €22m including add-ons.
That is represented by €18m plus another €4m in bonuses.
It remains to be seen if that will be sufficient, but the player is under contract with Corinthians until December 2029.
Since he was promoted to the senior squad, he has contributed four goals in 28 competitive games.
There is competition from other clubs for André, including Atletico Madrid, who see him as an alternative to Atalanta’s Ederson.
