Milan have reportedly begun preliminary talks with Weston McKennie’s entourage as the Juventus midfielder is available for a free transfer at the end of the season.
According to Calciomercato.com, Milan have opened initial talks with Juventus midfielder McKennie.
His contract expires at the end of the season and Juventus are still working to reach an agreement to extend his stay at the Allianz Stadium.
According to the report, McKennie earns €2.5m per season at Juventus, and the Bianconeri are eager to raise his salary to €4m following his excellent performances under Luciano Spalletti.
Since the Tuscan was appointed by the Old Lady at the end of October, McKennie has scored seven goals and provided four assists in 22 appearances across all competitions.
More Serie A clubs interested in McKennie
Milan have reportedly asked for updates on the 27-year-old’s future in Turin as they consider a potential free transfer that would see him reunite with his fellow USMNT star Christian Pulisic at San Siro.
According to the report, Inter and Roma are also following McKennie’s situation closely.
