La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Curtis Jones prefers a move to Inter over Newcastle and Aston Villa, so the Nerazzurri will likely try to sign both the Liverpool midfielder and Roma’s Manu Koné this summer.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Liverpool midfielder Jones is eager to move to Serie A in the summer and has prioritised joining Inter over Aston Villa and Newcastle.

Inter transfer news latest: Koné and Jones

Inter are preparing to make changes to their midfield, and Gazzetta confirms that Roma’s Koné remains the Nerazzurri’s top transfer target in the middle of the park for next season.

At the same time, the fresh Serie A title winners have long been following Liverpool’s Jones, who impressed the Nerazzurri during a Champions League match at San Siro in December.

Inter already tried to sign Jones in the January window, but according to Gazzetta, negotiations with Liverpool stalled after the Reds requested that Denzel Dumfries be included in the deal.

Jones is unlikely to sign a new contract beyond June 2027, so, with just one year left in his contract at Anfield, Inter hope to get the Englishman for a fair price during the summer transfer window.
