According to Tuttomercatoweb, Crespo is looking for a return to Serie A as a coach, and it could be to one of his old clubs.
Parma are not entirely content with Carlos Cuesta, despite keeping them comfortably in the top flight, while Lazio need a replacement for Maurizio Sarri who can win back the appreciation of the fans.
Crespo ready for first Serie A job
The 50-year-old Argentine was a legend in Italian football when playing upfront for Parma, Lazio, Inter, Milan and Genoa, closing his career back at the Stadio Tardini in January 2012.
He scored 153 goals in 340 Serie A games, winning three Scudetto titles, the Coppa Italia, UEFA Cup, five editions of the Supercoppa Italiana and one Capocannoniere crown.
Crespo began his management career in Italy with the Parma Under-19 team in 2014-15, then had 35 games with Modena in Serie B.
He since sat on the benches of Banfield, Defensa, Al-Duhail, Al-Ain and most recently his second spell at Sao Paulo, which concluded in March.
