The coming summer will see a massive shakedown at Real Madrid, not only in terms of the names in the dressing room but also the manager on the sidelines.
Several key players are expected to leave the club, with reports of some big-money signings also coming to the fore. Further, Alvaro Arbeloa is not expected to continue as the manager of the club for next season.
What will remain the same, however, is the identity of the team’s fitness coach. As relayed by Defensa Central, Antonio Pintus is here to stay for next season, and the foreseeable future.
A lifetime contract
As brought to light by the Spanish outlet, Real Madrid see Pintus to be indispensable to the club irrespective of the extent of changes in personnel come June.
They believe he is one of the best fitness trainers in history and that he is a fundamental pillar to the teamโs continual success in Europe.

In fact, Pintus is one of the few individuals with an indefinite contract with the club, and that speaks volumes about the confidence Florentino Perez and Co. have in him.
The administration feel that the team’s physicality and preparation for games has conspicuously improved over the past few months after Pintus returned to his post. They do not see any reason for a change on that front.
Irrespective of who takes charge in June, the Italian coach will thus remain in charge of the team’s fitness and physical preparation. The board do not want to repeat the mistake they made at the time of Xabi Alonso’s arrival by replacing Pintus.
The real results of the fitness coach’s methods, however, will only be seen in the months to come and next season, when the injury status of the team can be compared to the situation this season.
