Real Madrid and Barcelona have been offered the chance to sign Manchester City star Bernardo Silva.
The 31-year-old is set to leave the Manchester club at the end of his contract this summer.
Silva has been integral to the Citizens’ recent success under Pep Guardiola.
He has scored 76 goals in 453 senior appearances, helping his side win six Premier League titles and the Champions League.
But the Portuguese has now decided to end his long association with City.
Silva is now looking for a new club, with his agent, Jorge Mendes, offering him to different clubs.
Spanish outlet AS reports that Mendes has offered his services to Real Madrid and Barcelona.
The experienced midfielder believes he still has a place at a high level and wants to remain with a competitive team on the continent.
Madrid reportedly have great appreciation for Silva’s footballing ability but they are not expected to sign him this summer.
Barcelona reportedly have an interest in the Portugal international, who is highly rated for his versatility, intelligence and work-rate.
And given their financial issues, the Blaugrana could be tempted to sign Silva on a free transfer.
His situation has also sparked an interest from Arsenal, but due to the rivalry between the Gunners and City, a transfer is highly unlikely.
Silva doesn’t desire a move to the Saudi Pro League or an emotional return to his former club Benfica.
