Arsenal welcomed Atletico Madrid at the Emirates Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League semifinal clash. The Gunners made a quick start to the game and managed to get their noses ahead in the 44th minute when Bukayo Saka found the back of the net. The North London club went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.

Mikel Arteta’s men sat on their lead well in the second half and managed to grind out a 1-0 win (2-1 on aggregate) at the Emirates.

Let’s take a look at how each Arsenal player fared during the clash against Atletico Madrid.

He made a couple of solid saves at the back and did enough to secure the clean sheet.

RB: Ben White – 7/10

White cleared the danger when he could and made one key chance going forward.

CB: William Saliba – 7/10

He gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field.

CB: Gabriel – 7/10

Gabriel cleared his lines when needed and did well to keep the opposition attackers frustrated.

LB: Riccardo Calafiori – 6.5/10

He was solid at the back and was replaced in the 57th minute.

CM: Declan Rice – 7.5/10

Rice anchored the midfield well and ran the show inside the Atletico half.

CM: Myles Lewis-Skelly – 6.5/10

He had a couple of bright moments in the game and was substituted in the 73rd minute.

RW: Bukayo Saka – 7.5/10

Saka caught the eye at times in the final third and managed to score the only goal of the contest in the latter stages of the first half.

CAM: Eberechi Eze – 6.5/10

He made two good chances for others around him and was replaced close to the hour mark.

LW: Leandro Trossard – 7/10

Trossard caused some headaches for his marker, but there was no goal for him.

ST: Viktor Gyokeres – 5.5/10

He worked hard but failed to take his chances up top.

He made one decent chance going forward.

RW: Noni Madueke – 6.5/10

Madueke made two good runs with the ball.

He was a positive influence at both ends of the field.
