Turkish giants Galatasaray are the only club to have submitted a formal proposal for Rafael Leao, but the Milan star still hopes to move to the Premier League, particularly to either Arsenal or Manchester United, according to Gazzetta.
Portugal international Leao is expected to leave Milan during the summer and has prioritised a move to the Premier League.
Leao still hopes for Arsenal or Man United move
According to Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper, Leao was once again offered to Arsenal in recent weeks, but even if the Gunners are looking for a new left winger, negotiations with the 26-year-old’s camp have not progressed for now.
Leao confirmed just a few days ago that he wants to leave Milan during the summer transfer window.
In a previous interview on the Cernucci podcast, Leao said he had always admired Manchester United because of his “idol,” Cristiano Ronaldo, though Arsenal had also attracted his interest in recent years.
Gazzetta confirms that, despite Leao’s €175m release clause, the Rossoneri would be happy to sell their winger for just €50m, yet the only offer Leao has received so far is from Galatasaray.
According to the report, Gala have offered Leao a €10m-a-year salary, but the Portuguese winger is not convinced about moving to Turkey and will keep waiting for offers from other clubs, especially in the Premier League.
