Praise for Forrest but Celtic fans remain unconvinced

We asked for your views after Celtic progressed to the Scottish Cup final with a bonkers 6-2 semi-final victory over St Mirren.

Here's what some of you had to say:

John: It was nice to see the team eventually score a few goals, albeit in extra time. Anthony Ralston, the fans’ favourite for getting stick, was very good for me. The change in momentum after Callum McGregor went off was noticeable, with more playing the ball forward rather than sideways and back all the time. McGregor will always be one of my favourite players, but I think maybe a change in the midfield is required.

Shaun: For a long time I thought Brendan Rodgers had returned during the night by the way we were playing at the back, but thankfully we have James Forrest on the bench, who came on and changed the game. This team were poor all day and the players need to stop passing responsibility and play the game plan, because this could easily have been a loss. Thank you, James.

Gordy: Great to be in the final, but again we don’t have the quality to finish teams off. There is no belief in the team and it took the introduction of Forrest to give us a spark. Sadly this could hinder us in trying to win the league. We have to start with Kelechi Iheanacho instead of introducing him late in games. I can’t see us winning all five split games but here’s hoping.

Terry: Unfortunately the 6-2 scoreline deflects from such a poor second half in ordinary time – the worst Celtic panel in 27 years.

Patrick: Making the final was all that matters and a decent final score too, but we shouldn’t need extra time to kill games off. Could we pull off a miracle double? Highly unlikely, but there’s still hope.
