Mourinho praise for Materazzi
“In my whole career, where I coached the best players of that generation, the two best central defenders I ever had were John Terry and Marco Materazzi,” said Mourinho.
The Special One famously lifted the Treble in 2010 with Inter, and Materazzi was a key part of that squad that won the Champions League, Scudetto and Coppa Italia in the same season.
He was the coach of the Nerazzurri from 2008 to 2010.
Mourinho’s experience with Terry was at Chelsea, where the England international played 267 games for this coach, scoring 26 goals and providing 11 assists.
Mou had two different spells at Stamford Bridge, in 2004-07 and then returning in 2013-15.
