Following six unforgettable weeks that welcomed the world to Los Angeles for FIFA World Cup 2026™, the Los Angeles World Cup 2026 Host Committee—led by the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission (LASEC)—today released a thank you message to the people of Los Angeles, for their role in making FIFA World Cup 2026™ such an extraordinary success.
Together, the Los Angeles region welcomed more than 560,000 fans to eight FIFA World Cup™ matches at Los Angeles Stadium (SoFi Stadium), hosted more than 250,000 fans at the FIFA Fan Festival™ Los Angeles and official Los Angeles World Cup 26 Fan Zones, and thousands more celebrated at the more than 300 community events.
The region is projected to generate more than $1.1 billion in long-term economic benefit, creating a legacy that will continue to strengthen Los Angeles long after the tournament’s final whistle.
