Lincoln City have triggered a clause early to extend defender Adam Reach's contract until the end of the 2026-27 season.

Reach, 32, has made 23 appearances and scored four times since joining the promotion-chasing League One side on a one-year deal in September following his release by Wycombe.

The contract extension for the former Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday left-back includes a further appearance-linked trigger for another 12 months.

"When I joined in the summer I always wanted it to be a longer-term thing and it was just about getting into the team and proving I was someone who was worth keeping around," Reach told the club website.

Sporting director Jez George added: "His influence off the pitch, the standards he sets daily and his quiet leadership has been equally important.

"Adam is a class act in every respect and we are delighted that he is committed to another 18 months with a mechanism to extend that still further."
