Despite sitting 5th in Ligue 1, Lille have lost their last 4 games in all competitions. These include a 3-0 thrashing against PSG and a Coupe de France exit in a 2-1 defeat against OL. The French club’s hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages were also dented after losing against Celta Vigo. Les Dogues must win their final game to guarantee a spot in the knockout stages.
Génésio set to take charge against Strasbourg
Earlier today, RMC Sport reported that the former Rennes boss wanted to leave the Ligue 1 club after a run of disappointing results. However, Lille have denied those reports and have reaffirmed their faith in the French manager by confirming that he will take charge of their next match against Strasbourg.
