Lewandowski, Ferran react after Osasuna 1-2 Barcelona: ‘We want to be champions as soon as possible’

Barcelona are now on the brink of the La Liga title after a gritty 2-1 win over Osasuna, and the mood inside the dressing room reflects both confidence and hunger.

While the result itself was important, what stood out even more was the message coming from key players like Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres that this team is not done yet.

Lewandowski once again proved decisive, leading from the front and delivering when it mattered most.

After the match, the Polish striker made it clear that Barcelona are certainly thinking about winning the title.

“Our aim is to win every game and we want 100 points. I don’t know how many points we need to win La Liga, but we have four games left, and we have to win them all,” he explained.

Difficulty against Osasuna

The forward also reflected on how difficult the match was, especially in the early stages.

Barcelona struggled to break through in the first half, but showed clear improvement after the break.

“Before the match, we talked about how it’s not easy to win here. It’s not an easy ground. In the first half, we played very slowly, a bit too much on the ball.

“We couldn’t get into the box to cross, but in the second half we were a bit better and in the end we have three points,” Lewandowski added.

His goal came from sharp awareness inside the box, and he was quick to credit his teammate Marcus Rashford for the assist.

“I saw the line was a bit broken”, he said, before adding, “I saw that Marcus had space to cross.

“Sometimes it’s not about the power; it’s more important to cross to a specific spot, and for me it was a brilliant ball.”

Despite being so close to lifting the trophy, Lewandowski remained cautious about celebrations.

“It would be a wonderful moment to win the league. It would also be lovely to celebrate with the fans in the city. Until we win the league, it’s best not to talk about it,” he noted.

Ferran Torres takes the stage

Off the bench, Ferran Torres played a key role in sealing the win, scoring the second goal that ultimately made the difference.

Speaking after the match, he highlighted just how important this victory could be in the title race.

“We want to be champions as soon as possible, so we can enjoy it sooner,” he said, before adding,

“If they don’t win, we’ll be crowned champions.

“I think today was one of the toughest away games in La Liga, where we knew that the three points here were worth more than just three points, and I think the team played a brilliant game.”

Lastly, he reinforced the team’s collective mindset, stressing that the job is nearly done but not complete.

“We knew it was one of the toughest matches of the season; this is a very difficult ground. We’ve done our job, and done it very well.

“Now we just have to wait until tomorrow to see what Madrid do, and hopefully we can be champions,” he concluded.
