Juventus set €25million valuation for Federico Gatti amid growing Premier League interest

Serie A side Juventus have set a significant price tag for the potential sale of Federico Gatti following Premier League interest.

According to a report by Tuttosport via Calcio Mercato, the Bianconeri are looking to fund an squad overhaul this summer, and they have decided to sacrifice Gatti as part of the process of bringing capital gains ahead of the transfer window.

The Old Lady acquired the 27-year-old from Frosinone in 2022 for a fee of around €9million, and his salary weight in the balance sheet is negligible. So, all proceeds from his expected sale will be treated as a capital gain, which the club can combine with a potential Champions League qualification fund to bring in new faces.

What is the price tag to attract Premier League clubs?

Juventus CEO Damien Comolli has set a €20-25million price tag for the Italian central defender. This figure is aimed at attracting offers from foreign markets, especially the Premier League, as clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool, Aston Villa, and other teams that finish in the remaining European spots will be searching for a player with Gatti’s profile.

Last summer, Gatti was approached by Antonio Conte’s Napoli and then Milan, but neither club was willing to overspend for him. Luciano Spalletti has indicated a minimal role for the Rivoli-born defender, and therefore, he has decided to depart the club.

Previously, however, Juventus had rejected an offer from West Ham for the player.
