The Old Lady were beaten 2-0 in their own backyard after goals from Cher Ndour and Rolando Mandragora against Fiorentina on Sunday, which has left the team in sixth place and two points shy of the top four heading into the final round of 2025-26 fixtures.
Juventus now need favours from multiple sides on the final day if they are to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
The disappointment during and after the Fiorentina match was clear for all to see. Supporters voiced their frustrations after the full-time whistle and the players themselves were clearly unhappy with the way things were going while the match was still being played.
At one stage, Vlahovic and Locatelli were seen exchanging frustrated words with each other, waving their arms about as they shouted at each other across the pitch.
According to updates from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have decided to take disciplinary action against both players in the form of a fine. This was a choice made ‘mutually’ by head coach Luciano Spalletti and the Bianconeri directors.
Reports elsewhere suggest that Vlahovic and Locatelli will be fined €40,000 each.
