Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez could be available for the upcoming Serie A showdown against bottom-half Parma.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, El Toro is expected to resume training tomorrow.

Despite missing as many as eight league matches in the second half of the season, Lautaro Martinez is on the verge of winning the Capocannoniere award.

Indeed, the Argentine striker has netted 16 Serie A goals this term – at least four more than any other player in the division.

With only four games left to play, he could become the first Serie A player since Gianluca Vialli in the early 1990s to win the award without hitting a 20-goal landmark.

Inter Milan Captain Lautaro Martinez Expected to Recover for Parma Clash

Head coach Cristian Chivu was unable to call upon his talismanic goal-getter for the last three league outings.

However, the 28-year-old could be at Chivu’s disposal for Sunday’s home clash against Parma.

Interestingly, a win against the Crusaders would see Inter secure the Scudetto with a home victory for the first time since 1989.

More importantly, Lautaro is looking to recover for the Coppa Italia final against Lazio next month.

Lifting the cup trophy would put him on a par with his legendary compatriot, Diego Milito.
