Having failed to beat Leeds United in their last game, it’s now vital for Spurs to get something at Stamford Bridge, so this is sure to be a tense affair that will have fans clamouring for tickets.

How Chelsea could line up vs Tottenham

Chelsea will have played the FA Cup final just a few days before this, so it’s possible we won’t see them entirely at full strength as they don’t have much to play for in the Premier League.

Then again, they’re also likely to give it a pretty good go as this could be an enjoyable chance for CFC supporters to watch their club relegate one of their London rivals.

Since the west Londoners don’t have any major injury worries, we can perhaps expect a line up like this one below…

Chelsea predicted line up: Sanchez; James, Cucurella, Colwill, Fofana; Fernandez, Caicedo; Palmer, Neto, Garnacho, Pedro.

Tottenham obviously need to go full strength as they fight for their top-flight future, so, provided everyone’s fit, it should be fairly obvious what team Roberto De Zerbi picks.

For now, there are long-term absentees such as Xavi Simons, Mohammed Kudus, and Cristian Romero, but there’s a decent chance we should see Guglielmo Vicario and Dominic Solanke back.

Tottenham predicted line-up:Vicario; Porro, Udogie, Van de Ven, Danso; Palhinha, Bentancur, Gallagher; Richarlison, Tel, Solanke.

Chelsea vs Tottenham head-to-head record

It won’t surprise many to see that Chelsea have the upper hand in the history of this fixture, winning 82 times, while Spurs have 56 wins, and the other 42 have ended in a draw.

It’s been particularly one-sided in the last few years as THFC have gone backwards and generally suffered more in their games against the big six, with CFC now on a run of five wins in a row in this game, while their opponents have come out on the winning side just once in their last 13 meetings.

Tottenham’s away record against Chelsea is particularly dire, having last won there in 2018, which itself was their first win at Stamford Bridge since 1990.

Can they somehow pick up a vital three points this time and edge closer to avoiding the drop? Give us your predictions in the comments!
