Manchester United will welcome Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this Sunday as they look to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Red Devils suffered a tough 2-1 loss against Leeds United recently, so they would be full of confidence going into this game.

Michael Carrick will set his team up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make a few tweaks to his first team for this clash. Ayden Heaven, Diogo Dalot and Kobbie Mainoo could all play from the start of this game.

Defence

Senne Lammens will feature in between the sticks for the Red Devils after conceding two goals in his last appearance. Leny Yoro will function alongside Ayden Heaven at the heart of the Man United backline as they hope to keep things solid at the back during the game.

Diogo Dalot will try to prove his value as the right-back, while Luke Shaw looks to impress on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to go forward and express themselves inside the opponent’s half.

Tyrell Malacia will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Kobbie Mainoo and Casemiro will operate as the holding midfielders as they focus on winning the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park and engineering a few decent chances inside the opponent’s half.

The talented trio of Matheus Cunha, Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo will play just ahead of them as part of Man United’s attack. All three of them need to be at their best if the Red Devils are to secure a good result at Stamford Bridge this weekend.

Mason Mount will have to be content with a spot on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if required.

Attack

Bryan Mbeumo will spearhead Man United’s attack up top. He has to find a way to be a constant menace in the final third.

Joshua Zirkzee will have to settle for a place on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the latter stages of the contest if the Red Devils are in need of a goal by then.
