As revealed by L’Équipe, Dante (42) is expected to return to former club Bayern Munich at the end of the season, not as a player, but as manager of the Bavarian club’s U23 side.
Next month, Dante will call an end to his playing career. Before he does so, the OGC Nice captain will still seek to keep his club in the top-flight, whilst, after Wednesday night’s 2-0 win over RC Strasbourg Alsace, he also has a Coupe de France final to prepare. The Brazilian will look to go out on a high.
Dante already has his UEFA pro licence and is expected to take the role at Bayern Munich, where he could be joined by former teammate and France international Franck Ribery.
Ribery could have his pro licence from June and is currently at Coverciano. Sky Germany and Bildunderstand that he could become Dante’s assistant within the U23 set-up at Bayern.
