The third season of the Netflix series "Quarterback" will feature Jayden Daniels of the Washington Commanders, Joe Flacco of the Cincinnati Bengals, Baker Mayfield of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Cam Ward of the Tennessee Titans, the streaming service announced on Wednesday. The series is set to premiere on July 14.
There are multiple storylines at play as the series offers viewers an inside look at the life of an NFL quarterback.
Daniels, who finished his second NFL season after winning the Offensive Rookie of the Year award in 2024, faced injuries that limited his 2025 season to seven games.
Flacco stepped up after being traded to Cincinnati from the Cleveland Browns when starter Joe Burrow, who was featured on the last season of “Quarterback,” went down with a season-ending injury. The 41-year-old Flacco completed 61.7% of his passes for 1,664 yards and 13 touchdowns in nine games. He started six games for Cincinnati, earning his first career Pro Bowl selection.
Mayfield began the year as an MVP candidate and added to his case by leading the Bucs to a 6-2 record, including a Week 5 win over eventual Super Bowl LX champion Seattle Seahawks. A three-game losing streak, Week 12 shoulder sprain, and dropping four of the last five games landed Tampa Bay at 8-9, causing it to miss the postseason for the first time since 2020.
Ward was selected No.1 overall by the Titans in 2025. The Titans went 3-14 in 2025 to tie with the Las Vegas Raiders and Arizona Cardinals for the worst record in the league. Ward’s season ended when he suffered a shoulder sprain as he dove into the end zone for a touchdown on the opening drive in Week 18.
Netflix launched the "Quarterback" series back in 2023. The documentary previously featured Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota in the opening season. Cousins returned for year two with Burrow and Jared Goff, who also starred in the 2024-25 season.
