The stage is set at the Allianz Arena, where Real Madrid must produce a huge performance against Bayern Munich to keep their UEFA Champions League dream alive.
However, beyond the immediate challenge of overturning a first-leg deficit, a growing suspension crisis is threatening to derail their campaign even further.
Bayern head into the second leg with the upper hand after securing a 2-1 victory in Madrid, leaving Los Blancos with everything to do in Germany.
But the problems for the Spanish giants do not stop there.
Tchouameni blow adds to Madrid’s worries
One of the biggest setbacks comes in midfield, where Aurelien Tchouameni will play no part in the decisive clash.
His yellow card in the first leg, a decision that sparked debate, means he is automatically suspended for this encounter.
Losing a player of his defensive presence and composure is already a major concern.
Yet, the situation could become even more complicated if Madrid manage to pull off a comeback.

As things stand, several Real Madrid stars are just one booking away from missing the semi-final first leg, should the team get there, highlighting just how delicate the situation has become for Alvaro Arbeloa.
Leading that list are two of Madrid’s most decisive attacking figures, namely, Vinicius Jr.and Kylian Mbappe.
Both players are crucial to any hopes of a comeback, but they must now balance aggression with caution, knowing that one mistimed challenge could cost them a place in the next round.
The risk does not end there. Midfield engine Jude Bellingham is also on the verge of suspension, alongside defensive options like Alvaro Carreras and Dean Huijsen.
Meanwhile, Rodrygo, another key attacking outlet, is part of this group as well, although his current injury means he is out of the tie.
This situation creates a serious dilemma for Real Madrid.
On one hand, they must go all out to overturn the deficit against Bayern and on the other, they cannot afford to lose more players ahead of a potential semi-final.
