Fabrizio Romano has confirmed a massive offer has been made to a star player.
This summer is promising to be a bigger one than even last summer at Liverpool. So much change happened last year but this year the change could be far bigger.
It already is.
Mo Salah is leaving for pastures new. Andy Robertson is also expected to leave the club. On top of that Alexis Mac Allister and Curtis Jones could both be sold. And there's uncertainty over the future of Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez.
Who knows whether Ibrahima Konate will sign a new contract, too. Although that at least appears to be close.
Amid so much upheaval Liverpool are going to have to invest heavily into the market again. Midfielders and wingers are going to be Liverpool's priority – in the centre-back department they've already secured the future of Jeremy Jacquet and Ifeanyi Ndukwe, who are both joining the club this summer.
But the departures may not end there. Liverpool could be losing yet another one of their stars for whom a European giant has made a massive offer.
Who has been Liverpool's best players during the Jurgen Klopp era?
You could argue Salah was up there. Van Dijk definitely is a massive contender.
Then there are other names like Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, without whom none of it would have been the same.
Firmino and Mane left Anfield sooner than those aforementioned players but they were all equally important to the success the club had under Klopp.
However, if we are to say who played the biggest role and who transformed Liverpool completely it would have to be Alisson Becker.
Let's be honest, before Alisson came along Liverpool were in a dire goalkeeper situation. Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet were simply not at the level where the Reds wanted to be.
Alisson was – he was the best goalkeeper on the planet and throughout his time at Liverpool he has been instrumental in maintaining that status and saving Liverpool from defeats time and time again.
However, his time could now be up at Anfield as well.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that he’s been offered a massive deal at Juventus, who are prepared to give him a 2+1 year contract, longer than Liverpool’s terms.
“On the other side, Juventus are prepared to offer two plus one or even three years at the club to the Brazilian goalkeeper," Romano said.
That is going to be an enticing proposal for the Brazilian who will be thinking about his long-term future.
For Liverpool, losing Alisson would be a massive set-back.
The Reds' goalkeeping department is well-stocked of talented young goalkeepers coming through. Giorgi Mamardashvili is among them. Vitezslav Jaros is also very highly rated.
Meanwhile, Armin Pecsi and Kornel Misciur have also both produced impressive performances at academy level.
But right now none of them are ready to replace Alisson, which would mean the Reds would have to dip into the market once again.
