Aldershot Town have appointed Scott Davies as their new manager ahead of the 2026-27 season.

The 38-year-old former midfielder spent three loan spells with the Shots during his playing career and helped the club win promotion to League Two in 2007-08.

The move brings to an end a 20-year playing career as Davies leaves his player-manager role at Slough Town, where he led the Rebels to 16th in National League South and made 26 appearances in the competition this season.

"A real privilege to return as manager to the place where I fell in love with the game as a baby faced 19 year old in an XL shirt," he posted on X.

"Nobody said it's gonna be easy but it'll be fun to watch. Hard work has already started. Some exciting lads onboard."

Aldershot announced they would be parting ways with former manager John Coleman prior to their final game of the season, after a dismal run of 10 defeats in 12 games.

The Shots ended the campaign 20th in the National League, four points and just one place above the relegation zone.
