More details are emerging on the agreement that Paulo Dybala is expected to sign with Roma, extending his stay for another two years at a massive pay cut.

The Argentina international had been tempted by the constant calls from his beloved Boca Juniors, but had already been leaning towards a new deal at the Stadio Olimpico even before securing Champions League qualification.
It is now widely reported that La Joya will put pen to paper on a two-year contract, just days before he was set to become a free agent.
Dybala to decimate salary for Roma
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Dybala has made huge sacrifices to stay on in the Eternal City, cutting his salary from €8m per season to just €2.5m plus bonuses.
Those will be tied to the number of appearances he makes, keeping in mind the frequent injury lay-offs that affected his career.
It is also a business decision, not just a technical one put forward by coach Gian Piero Gasperini, because Dybala’s shirts are still the best sellers.
The 32-year-old arrived at Roma as a free agent from Juventus in 2022 and has now played in Italy for practically his entire career, starting with Palermo in 2012.
Despite those injuries, Dybala scored three goals and provided eight assists in 27 competitive games this season.
