France coach Didier Deschamps refuses to rule out becoming the Italy coach: ‘The most important thing is the World Cup, but everyone knows I’m available.’
France coach Deschamps is open to becoming the Italy coach.

Deschamps, a former Juventus midfielder, replied to a question about the matter from Gazzetta dello Sport correspondent in France, Alessandro Gradesso, during a press conference on Friday.
“I’m not ruling anything out,” Deschampssaid.
Deschamps ‘available’ to coach Italy
“It’s not relevant today, the most important thing is the World Cup, but I’m available, everyone knows that, you too. So we’ll see later.”
Deschamps will leave the France national team after the 2026 World Cup.
He has already announced his squad for the tournament, including four Serie A stars: Mike Maignan and Adrien Rabiot of Milan, Roma’s Manu Koné and Inter’s Marcus Thuram.
Deschamps won the 2018 World Cup with France and reached the Final in 2022.
A former Juventus midfielder, Deschamps played in Turin from 1994 to 1999, winning several trophies, including three Serie A titles and the 1996 Champions League.
He also coached Juventus in the club’s first and only season in Serie B, the 2006-07 campaign, contributing to their return to Serie A before resigning two rounds before the end of the campaign due to disagreements with the club’s management.
