Solihull Moors have confirmed defender Alex Whitmore will leave the National League club at the end of the season.

Whitmore, 30, joined the Moors from AFC Fylde at the end of November 2023 and has made 114 appearances since, scoring nine goals.

He has played every league game this season and is due to play his final home match for Solihull against Boston United at Damson Park Saturday.

"Leaving is not a decision I have taken lightly," Whitmore said.

"This football club has become a real home for me and my family and I have nothing but positive memories from my time here.

"Everyone at Solihull Moors would like to place on record their thanks to Alex for everything he has given to the club and wish him all the very best for the future," the club said in a statement.
