Cristian Chivu admits he thought Inter could sack him after losing Serie A games against Udinese and Juventus in September, insists the Champions League must not become an obsession and that the new season will be ‘more difficult’ for the Nerazzurri.
Chivu won two trophies in his first full season as a Serie A coach, lifting the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia with Inter in 2025-26.
Inter President Beppe Marotta was full of praise for the coach after the Nerazzurri secured a domestic double last month, even suggesting that Chivu might stay longer at Inter than him.
