Gennaro Gattuso announced his Italy squad for their upcoming World Cup play-offs, with some surprises amongst the reliable core of the current Azzurri generation. Some players returned to the fold for the first time in years, whilst there were a number of shock omissions for players who have performed well at club level recently.
