Manchester City will face off against Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium this Monday as they look to secure a win on the road in the Premier League. The Mancunian giants managed to earn a hard-fought 2-1 win over Southampton in the FA Cup recently, so they would be full of confidence going into this game.

Pep Guardiola will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to revert to his strongest XI for this clash. Hence, Erling Haaland will once again spearhead Man City’s attack up top.

Defence

Gianluigi Donnarumma will operate in goal for Man City after taking a break for the cup fixture. Abdukodir Khusanov will function alongside Marc Guehi at the centre of the Man City backline as they look to keep things solid at the back throughout the game.

Matheus Nunes will try to prove his value as the right-back, while Rayan Ait-Nouri looks to put in a good performance on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will get the freedom to go forward and express themselves inside the Everton half.

John Stones and Nathan Ake will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Nico O’Reilly and Bernardo Silva will anchor the midfield for Man City as they look to establish their dominance over the opposition at the centre of the park.

The gifted trio of Jeremy Doku, Rayan Cherki and Antoine Semenyo will play just ahead of them as part of Guardiola’s attack. All three of them need to be at their best if Man City are to secure a convincing win this Monday night.

Nico Gonzalez, Tijjani Reijnders and Phil Foden will be available for selection on the bench as they wait for their chance to impress in the second 45 minutes if required.

Attack

Erling Haaland will lead the line for the Mancunian giants up top. He has to figure out a way to be a real threat on the offensive end of the field.

Omar Marmoush will have to be content with a spot on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter if Man City are in need of a goal by then.
