Beşiktaş have reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen and Spain international defender Alejandro Grimaldo, according to Sacha Tavolieri.
Management of the Turkish outfit met with Grimaldo – which included dinner – before a full agreement on personal terms was met. However, holding a contract with Leverkusen until 2027, Beşiktaş must now find an agreement with the Bundesliga side before a total agreement can be reached.
Per the report, the 2023/24 German champions want a reported €20m for Grimaldo, who has scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists in 41 games across all competitions for die Werkself this season.
Kasper Hjulmand’s side currently sit sixth, nine points clear of fourth-placed Freiburg with four games remaining but sitting four points adrift of VfB Stuttgart and a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League, missing out on the prestigious European competition could play a role in the player’s future.
