Earlier this year, FC Barcelona lost one of their most talented academy talents, Pedro ‘Dro’ Fernandez, as PSG moved to sign him in the January transfer window.
The teenager’s exit left a bitter feeling within the club, after all, Hansi Flick had taken a special interest in his development and had promoted him to the first-team setup in the summer.
PSG paid Barcelona €8 million for the young attacking midfielder, €2 million more than the release clause in his contract.
Now, the Blaugrana may attempt to return the favour by targeting one of PSG’s brightest academy prospects.
Barcelona eye David Boly
Indeed, according to Le Parisien (h/t SPORT), Barcelona have taken an interest in David Boly, a 17-year-old right-sided full-back considered a special talent in Paris.
At just 17 years of age, he has already made his debut with the first team. His contractual situation, with his current deal running until 2027 when he will already be 18, could make it easier for him to leave on a free transfer at that point.

PSG are increasingly frustrated because Boly has so far rejected all renewal offers presented to him in recent weeks. Moreover, they are aware that Barcelona have been closely monitoring the player.
The Catalans are said to be well informed about his situation and could attempt to reach a future agreement with him without paying a transfer fee, which would represent a significant move in the market.
PSG view Boly as a strategic player for the future, with clear potential to establish himself in the first team. He is regarded as one of the most promising right-backs in Europe, and the club’s intention was to promote him permanently to the senior squad next season.
As Boly is still a minor, he has not yet signed a professional contract with PSG. Any departure this summer would therefore require an agreement between the clubs, although the financial compensation would likely be minimal.
He will turn 18 in January next year, and PSG are keen to secure his future before then, as failure to do so could allow him to leave on a free transfer in the summer of 2027, with Barcelona remaining attentive.
