The future of Robert Lewandowski remains a massive question mark for Barcelona as we enter the final phase of the campaign.
The veteran’s contract expires at the end of the season, but Barcelona have shown the desire to renew his deal for another year, albeit with a massive pay cut.
Lewandowski, who has been at the club since 2022, has appeared a bit apprehensive in renewing his contract, which in turn has put question marks over his future at Camp Nou.
Barcelona no longer a priority
According to author Sebastian Staszewski, Lewandowski could be playing his last few weeks at Barcelona and is expected to leave in the coming summer.
Staszewski knows Lewandowski inside out and has written a book about the Pole, which was the second most-read book in Poland last year.

The author suggests that renewing his contract at Barcelona is no longer a priority for the former Borussia Dortmund striker, knowing his role in the team will only diminish further next season.
Barcelona, for their part, no longer consider Lewandowski a star player. This is hardly surprising as the Pole will turn 38 by the start of next season.
Barcelona, therefore, were willing to take a big gamble in the first place by trying to renew the contract of the veteran striker, trusting in his abilities to perform at the highest level, especially at a time when most footballers either retire or move to lower leagues.
However, it appears the marriage between Lewandowski and Barcelona is well and truly over.
The fact that Lewandowski will no longer be a star player at Barça does not sit well with the Polish international, as he looks to take the final step in his career.
