Barcelona are currently operating without their star forward, Lamine Yamal, who may not feature again this season after having picked up a fresh injury.
Although the Spaniard should return to fitness soon, he will focus on gaining full fitness so he can be available for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with the Spanish national team.
Even with Yamal taking full precaution ahead of the World Cup, Barcelona fear Spain may mismanage their star player and are, therefore, voiced their word of caution to the RFEF.
Barcelona remain cautious
According to SPORT, Barcelona are in constant communication with the Spanish Football Federation over the fitness and management of Lamine Yamal ahead of this summer’s World Cup.
While his participation in the tournament is not under threat, Barcelona have made their position abundantly clear to the federation.

The Catalans are demanding the utmost caution surrounding Yamal’s involvement in the early stages of the competition, with no exposure to any risk whatsoever.
Barcelona are also mindful of past mistakes made by rushing young talents back from injury under international pressure, and have no intention of allowing history to repeat itself with their most prized asset.
Spain coach Luis de la Fuente has responded positively to the club’s concerns, promising to manage Yamal’s minutes carefully.
The plan is to use him selectively during the group stage as a way of building his match fitness gradually, preserving him for the knockout rounds when it matters most.
For Barcelona, the priority is simple. Yamal must arrive at next season fully fit as the club look to not only dominate Spanish football next season but also win the elusive UEFA Champions League.
