According to reports from BILD, relayed by Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are in direct competition with Paris Saint-Germain to sign 18-year-old Borussia Dortmund talent Samuele Inacio.
Inacio is already starting to make his presence felt, having made his first-team debut earlier this year in a high-level match against Bayern Munich.
Since then, he has gradually been introduced into senior football, picking up important minutes across several games and even being included in squads for Champions League fixtures.
Despite those early chances, most of his impact has come at the reserve level. There, he has been far more consistent, scoring 10 goals and adding two assists this season.
His ability to play both as a striker and out wide makes him a flexible option, something clubs like Barcelona value highly.
Borussia Dortmund are unwilling
As such, Dortmund are not ready to let him go easily, and they are already trying to secure his future by offering him a new contract with better wages and a clearer path into the first team.

The German club plans to make him a regular part of the senior squad from next season, showing him that his development can continue in Germany.
On the other hand, Barcelona’s approach is slightly different. The club has been tracking him for months and has already made contact to understand his situation.
They see him as a long-term investment, a player who could initially fit into the youth setup before making the jump to the first team if his development continues as expected.
From a financial point of view, Barcelona have two possible routes. They could try to sign him now for a relatively low fee or wait until his contract runs down in 2027 and attempt to bring him in on a free transfer.
Both options are being considered, and no final decision has been made yet.
At the same time, PSG are offering a similar pathway. They are also pushing to convince the player, which means the final decision will come down to where Inacio feels he has the best chance to grow.
