Manchester City will welcome Brentford at the Etihad Stadium this Saturday evening as they look to secure maximum points at home in the Premier League. The Mancunian club were held to a frustrating 3-3 draw away at Everton recently, so they would be eager to return to winning ways this weekend.

Pep Guardiola will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make one change to his first XI for this game. Rayan Ait-Nouri could get a chance to impress from the start of this contest, while Nico Gonzalez makes way for him and drops to the bench.

Defence

Gianluigi Donnarumma will operate in between the sticks for the Mancunian club after conceding three goals in his last appearance. Abdukodir Khusanov will function alongside Marc Guehi at the centre of the Man City backline as they focus on keeping a good shape when defending inside their half.

Matheus Nunes will hope to prove his worth as the right-back, while Rayan Ait-Nouri looks to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.

John Stones and Nathan Ake will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Nico O’Reilly will anchor the midfield along with Bernardo Silva as they look to establish their dominance over the opposition at the centre of the park.

The gifted trio of Jeremy Doku, Rayan Cherki and Antoine Semenyo will operate just ahead of them as part of the Man City attack. All three of them need to combine well if they want to create enough chances to secure a convincing win this Saturday.

Phil Foden and Mateo Kovacic will have to be content with a place on the bench as they await their chance to impress in the second 45 minutes if needed.

Attack

Erling Haaland will spearhead Man City‘s attack up top. He has to find a way to be a real menace in the final third.

Omar Marmoush will have to settle for a spot on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if required.
