The time is rapidly approaching when Liverpool fans will have to say goodbye to Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian King has reached an agreement with the club to tear up his £400k per week one year early. The move comes amid a breakdown in relations between the 33-year-old and head coach Arne Slot.

Originally slated to depart Anfield in 2027 the left-footed forward will now be free to orchestrate a big-money move this summer with no transfer fee attached.

Salah is currently injured after hurting a hamstring in the weekend victory against Crystal Palace but is expected to play again for the Premier League champions this season.

That will give supporters a chance to say goodbye to the all-time great – who is the top flight’s reigning player of the year.

Salah will be bringing the curtain down on a glorious Liverpool career – which has seen him win everything in the club game – before embarking on a lucrative new challenge.

Ramy Abbas deciding Salah's next move

It would be a surprise to see Salah rock up at another European team next season with interest in the two-time African footballer of the year materialising from further afield.

And now it’s been claimed by Paul Joyce in the Times that Salah’s long-time agent Ramy Abbas is locked in talks over his next move.

“Liverpool agreed he could leave on a free transfer and there is reputed interest from the Saudi Pro League and Major League Soccer in Salah, whose representative Ramy Abbas has been dealing with his future,” the report reads.
