Milan pay for costly transfer mistakes despite Cardinale’s 400m investment

Gerry Cardinale has invested over €400m in new signings since acquiring Milan in 2022, but many have failed to match expectations at San Siro, especially Christopher Nkunku, Alvaro Morata and Noah Okafor.

Milan owner Gerry Cardinale is “unhappy” with the Rossoneri’s poor form, which has left Champions League qualification in jeopardy despite a strong start to the season.

In his recent interview with Gazzetta and Corriere della Sera, Cardinale emphasised that he has not lacked in investing to strengthen the team; however, many new players have failed to deliver.
